Position Summary

As a quality intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting quality efforts at our Lancaster PA facility. You will learn quality control processes, learn about industry standards, and contribute to maintaining our commitment to product quality. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.

  • Help document quality control processes and maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.

  • Support the team in identifying defects and non-conformities and assist in implementing corrective actions.

  • Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.

  •  Engage with experienced engineers and customers to manage independent projects and contribute to team success.

  • Learn and apply quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or related field.

  • Ideal candidates will have quality and related engineering experience as well as sufficient background and technical knowledge to assume responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Ability to read and interpret parts drawings, specifications and accurately use tape measures, rulers, calipers, volumetric measures, micrometers, weight scales, and viscosity analyzer (viscometer). Must have a good understanding of arithmetic, including fractions.

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office) with an ability to learn new systems and tools. 

  • Blueprint reading and technical report writing.
