Pay Rate: $23.04 per hour
About the RolePDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Technician to support a premier aerospace partner in Wichita, KS. In this hands-on role, you will directly contribute to the safety, reliability, and performance of aircraft systems by performing essential maintenance, repairs, and overhaul activities.

What You’ll DoIn this role, you will work in a repair and overhaul shop environment, supporting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. Daily responsibilities include:
Maintenance & RepairPerform basic and semi-complex aircraft maintenance tasks.
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled repairs to ensure airworthiness and compliance.
Manually maneuver large aircraft wheels and brakes (rolling, lifting).
Shop & Equipment DutiesMix and apply primer and paint for component finishing.
Handle general shop upkeep, performing equipment maintenance as needed.
Apply the principles of Five S’s to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Identify opportunities to remove non-value-added steps and reduce waste.
Safety & Continuous ImprovementMaintain high standards of safety and identify potential hazards.
Support and participate in continuous improvement activities and events.
Provide limited training to other technicians when qualified.
Properly handle hazardous waste in accordance with all regulatory and corporate guidelines.

Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and manual maneuvering of components.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in an aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul (MRO) environment.
Familiarity with paint/primer mixing and application.
Understanding of shop safety practices and hazardous waste handling procedures.
Previous experience in a fast-paced production or maintenance environment.

Pay Details: $23.04 per hour
