Icelandair is seeking a positive and solution-oriented individual for the position of Baggage Service Manager. This is a temporary 12-month position within the airline’s baggage department at Keflavík International Airport. The role involves ensuring excellent customer service, overseeing daily operations, and leading improvement initiatives. Working hours are primarily daytime, with flexibility in line with the nature of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily baggage service operations in close collaboration with the department manager, ensuring top-tier service and safety.
- Develop and implement procedures aligned with industry standards.
- Monitor and enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members.
- Address customer inquiries to ensure a positive experience.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Relevant education and practical knowledge of aviation procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Icelandic is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in computer systems and tools.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to lead projects independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive under pressure with a positive and proactive attitude.
