Honeywell Aerospace has an excellent opportunity for a Product Leader for our Navigation Services portfolio. The position is part of the Connected Aero team and reports to the GM of Connected Aero. In this role you will drive growth and value to the Navigation Services P&L – your focus will be aimed at enriching our offerings, integrating with new Flight Decks, creating the value proposition and scale while acting as a thought leader. This role will proactively identify, research, and evaluate key enhancements in our offerings that deliver long-term profitable growth in the P&L. The Senior Manager plans and develops the product strategy with Sales, Engineering and Customer Operations that can help to create positive customer experiences while increasing revenue share of wallet for the P&L.
Position Overview
As a Senior Strategy and Portfolio Manager at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in managing the performance and lifecycle of our offerings. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing portfolio performance, conducting detailed analysis of segment attractiveness and Honeywells position by region. You will also be responsible for operationalizing margin and delivery at the material and customer levels. You will play a key role in making portfolio choices with strategies such as "Core", "Maintain", "Harvest", and "Exit". You will be responsible for developing and implementing a portfolio blueprint with process improvements and new business models.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Senior Manager, Offering Management is responsible for creating and driving the accelerated adoption and development of existing and new offerings.
- Manage the product technology and spaneting strategy through the analysis of addressable spanet, customer needs, maintenance of competitive insight, and active awareness of industry trends.
- Serve as the internal and external evangelist for Navigation Services product offerings, working with the sales channel, partners, and key customers.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a 12-24 month roadmap for offering portfolio, work cross-functionally with engineering and other counterparts to define product requirements, work with other spaneting leaders to define the go-to-spanet strategy, develop product positioning and pricing, key benefits, differentiators and target customer.
- Able to ideate on product definition through the analysis of customer use cases from the horizontal as well as industry vertical perspectives, understanding of the competitive landscape, and deep awareness of spanet trends.
- Owner of the business plan, will be responsible for defining commercialization models, rationalize investments, get buy-in from senior leadership; and execute on the plans to realize Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and STRAP revenue from these offerings.
- Work closely with the Connected Offering Manager from the ES – Avionics team for tighter integration and differentiated offerings that involve navigation services
- Knowledge about lean and agile processes of product development and product management using concepts of minimum viable products
Will Demonstrate
- Track record of success in the full lifecycle of product management and leading end-to-end product development including providing product vision and roadmaps, writing exceptional PRDs, and bringing to spanet high visibility and complex products on time.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to influence without authority, working on/with technical and cross-functional or highly matrixed teams who do not report into this role to get things done.
- Demonstrated track record in balancing product priorities against budget and timelines; a sense of urgency in driving execution; entrepreneurial spirit and love of developing products from an early stage.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Roadmap Development:
- Develop and refining the overall strategy for HON’s products or services.
- Understand spanet needs, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities to define the direction HON offerings should take.
- Create and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the features and enhancements to be delivered over time.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive spanet research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive threats.
- Analyze spanet data to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
- Gather insights through customer feedback, surveys, and usability testing to understand customer pain points and preferences.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Manage entire product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life.
- Prioritize features, defining requirements, overseeing development, and managing product launches.
- Continuously evaluating product performance and iterating based on customer feedback and spanet dynamics.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, sales, spaneting, and customer support.
- Collaborate with teams to align on priorities, timelines, and go-to-spanet strategies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between different departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Engage with key customers through regular meetings, workshops, and events to gather insights and strengthen relationships.
Competitive Analysis and Positioning:
- Monitor competitors and industry trends to identify competitive threats and opportunities.
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand strengths, weaknesses, and differentiation points.
- Use information to refine product positioning and develop strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
Revenue and Performance Management:
- Set and manage revenue targets for HON’s product portfolio.
- Monitor key performance metrics such as revenue, spanet share, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive revenue growth.
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally including executives, customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the product lifecycle through regular updates and communication.
Innovation and Future Planning:
- Drive innovation within your product portfolio by identifying new spanet opportunities, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with R&D and innovation teams to develop and test new product concepts.
- Plan for the future by anticipating spanet trends and evolving customer needs.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Minimum of 10 years of expertise in managing a portfolio of products, projects, and investments.
- Proven track record in portfolio performance management and lifecycle management.
- Strong aviation background in navigation, avionics, or other aero combination
