Aftermarket Manufacturing Engineer

HIRING FOR 1ST OR 2ND SHIFT

Due to the nature of this role, which requires consistent, in-person collaboration and onsite work, this position will be performed full-time on site at a BAE Systems facility, 100 of the time.

As an Aftermarket Manufacturing Engineer, youll work closely with team members to eliminate process waste and ensure compliance in product repairs to successfully meet customer required Turn-around-times. Your daily focus will include:

Reviewing customer and product repair requirements
Proposing repair options to customers
Ensuring compliance with customer purchase orders
Dispositioning hardware to bring product back to compliance, airworthiness, and/or to perform upgrades accordingly.
Monitoring and improving process efficiency using Lean Manufacturing principles
Analyzing and resolving quality defects and process inefficiencies

Responsibilities:

Strong technical documentation and analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to dig down to root cause and implement creative systemic corrective actions
Familiarity with automated and/or advanced manufacturing processes is a plus
Support for manufacturing floor activities, such as building standardized work instructions and leading Kaizen events and process walks

Job Requirements:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related manufacturing engineering discipline.
Must enter FAA mandated Anti-Drug Pool and be subject to random drug testing.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, utilizing root cause analysis.
Ability to interpret technical specifications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple activities in a team environment.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience and/or certification.
Skills and experience utilizing Oracle, Windchill or Data Analysis software
General understanding of electronics manufacturing processes
Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts
Ability to interpret and apply specifications, standards, and customer requirements
Proficiency with MS Office Products

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $63662 - $108225

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
